Yes, O.P. was Oliver P. Buntin. Don't have his exact birth date with me now, but c1843. Interesting his service in 8th Confederate Cav. Need to examine this connection, as well as transfers between Co's B and D. Are the rolls and CSRs of Co D, 8th Conf Cav (McCaa's) availible?

Might Alonza have been in that organization? The Murphreesburo charge in which Capt McCaa was wounded would seem like a good opportunity for Alonza to meet a similar fate, though I would have expected Leonidas' obituary to mention that fact. Will post the text of that obit, though I don't know where it came from. I got an enlargement copy of a contempory newspaper column, I assume it was a Greene County paper.
