There is no record of a W.C. Horton in the 42nd in the regimental microfilm.

The only two Hortons shown are G.W. and H.T.

G.W.'s only record is his surrender record at the end of the war. He was in Company B.

H.T. was also in Company B *but* may have never actually been with the regiment.

There is a very interesting handwritten note in H.T.'s record, written on 3/20/1937. Apparently someone had inquired of the service record for H.T. *and* Coleman Horton.

Whoever wrote the note states that their is no record of H.T. with the company. He appears to have been on hospital detail throughout his service. At the end of the war he was at a hospital in Thomasville, N.C.

The note also states that *Cole* Horton is not found in any of the company's [Company B] records.
