I am independent now, I was with Terry's Texas Rangers, 8th Texas Cavalry then the 11th Texas Cavalry,and on to the 12th Texas Cavalry.....I guess I need to find a unit with a larger number to join...16th or even 26th Ha Ha .

I have found so many Rebs in the family that I jump from message board to message board then on to web sites trying to find answers. It's going to drive me nuts!

I have Vets. in Texas,Arkansas,Louisana,Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. They fought in almost every battle large and small.

The Anthony boys split, with part fighting with the 34th Georgia Inf. and the rest with the 11th Alabama Inf. there father Martin Anthony ( My GG Grandfather ) was in the war of 1812 with Jones's Georgia Milita, Regement four.
