Gentlemen,

I have done extensive uniform research on the uniforms of the 39th Georgia and the sister regiments in Cumming's Brigade. The Tait jackets referred to were likely issued in early 1865 as part of the refurbishing of the brigade. I am still working on the paper trail for the issuing. Ultimately, I would like to find the documentation where the shipment came through the blockade.

The 39th Georgia's early uniforms were frocks, mid-war (post Vicksburg) is largely unknown but I have found evidence that they were issued "Joe Brown Jackets". I have not found evidence on what they looked like.
