I agree with you. There is an old saying "one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter". John Brown is not an exception to the rule. I was taught in late 1960s era Bakersfield by my teachers that JB was one cool cat who was down for the struggle. From a Confederate view point he was the exact opposite. You proabaly know that JB's son was the second in command of the 7th Kan Cav USV a unit that was less then loved by the good people of Mo.
