My point was that both the Union and CSA both took the time to fight Indians during the Civil War. Civilwarhome.com unioncofederateindians.htm proves this point plus Wikipedia with references plus Amazon has a whole bunch of books on Indians in the CW and they also state that both the CSA and Union killed Indians not just Indians vs Indians but White troops vs Indians. That was my point. Did the CSA reconize Indian nations? Yes but it didn't do the Indians any good in the long term. Did Indian troops fight in Mo yes at least in Newtonia and at Island Mound although of course at Im they were not refered to has Indian troops.
