Isn't that what the United States and it's Flag are all about? Isn't that what we shed all the blood for? Isn't that what you spent 30 plus years in the service of this country for?
We have to be careful not to infringe on other's rights simply because I or we don't think it is correct, or Moral, or just for them to exercise that right. In doing that we impose a form of theology into governmental decisions, which is no better that the Taliban rule in Afganistan.
We may think, or even know, that the motive is good and that the outcome will be right. BUT, motives do not need to get in front of process. We are a country that is supposed to be guided by the Rule of Law. And in that Law is where the moral and the exercising of rights issues are to be settled by the common agreement of all those it effects.
Not in the "courts" of public opinions. Well I don't like this or I don't like that. If that is the guideline then we will have 300,000,000 different sets of laws. And that is the problem today we have too many "Moralist laws" that if I even breath I have upset someone because I have emmited CO2 and contributed to the "greenhouse gases". How do you live in a country like that?
