When I see the CBF, I see the old 3rd Arkansas Regiment later in the war, battle-weary, its ranks depleted, slogging through the Virginia mud, barefoot, in ragged gray, with bright muskets, veterans of many hard campaigns, following their torn and tattered regimental colors -- the Confederate battle-flag with the simple inscription "3rd Ark."
And then I see some jerk waving the flag under everyone's nose to show that he's peeved about the outcome of an election. When the 3rd Arkansas had custody of that flag it was always moving forward; every color-bearer who was shot down was immediately replaced by another, and another, and another, with no hesitation, only to have this clown up in Huntsville pick it up. I understand and accept that it's his right, but it really galls me. Does it show?
