To be honest with you Keith I haven't even read Frank replies, because I sort of knew what his reaction would be to a southern point of view. Which I sort of thought he wouldn't respect. Others have already defended my position better that I could have done had I read the comments and replied myself.

So therefore I am not offended by his comments. Nor have I changed my position, because I've heard it all before from others. They never answer the questions, they only filibuster about the morality of "Freeing the slaves" without talking about the other illegal acts and immoralities such as war, all of which seem to be justified in their minds and that were caused in the name of correcting that one single immorality.

The northern immorality was money. 10's of Billions of dollars were spent on conquering a free people and in the total destruction of an economy, to oppressing and punish those people for 100 years afterwards, for that "sin", but not one penny would them spend for actually buying the slaves and repatriating them home, which the majority of the southerners would have supported. In my county in the 1860 U.S. census there were 7,800 whites and 7,100 slaves. But all those slaves were owned by only 78 families.

The whole object of the War of Northern aggression was not to "Free the Slave", but the totally subjugate a people who dared to challenge the authority of a dictatorial government. A people who did not commit rebellion against that government, but who separated from that governnment to establish a new government as declared, by the Declaration of Independence to King George the III, as their GOD given right to do so.
