I will try the Museum this week and look into gravesites in the New Orleans area. Hopefully, all this will pay off in the end. I just can't let it go, somehow. I guess it's the fall-out from Samuel's not coming home that haunts me. My grandfather, Haws McCamish, and his eight sibling felt the effects as Wilson was from all accounts, never a very good father, drinking away the farmland that he rented, dying at 44 and leaving his family destitute in 1899. He lost his dad young (11yrs.) and that's sad. My father lost his father at 17 from the residue of phosgene gas (Haws served in France during WWII, Corp. of Engineers on the Hindenberg Line.) Wilson lost his father at the same age (17): history repeating itself...
