George:
Thank you for the web addresses. I will definitely post there.
I spoke with the folks at the Old Court House Museum this morning. Neil Brun answered the phone. He said that Gordon Cotton had retired a few years ago and George Bolm has taken his place. Also, Jeff Coleman works there. I explained my situation and he promised to discuss it with the others, including Gordon, who although retired, still actively helps people like myself with questions regarding Vicksburg soldiers. Sometimes I feel as if no one is really listening, or if they are, they are only being polite. Other times, people seem genuinely curious and helpful-such is the business of family history. John and I head to NYC for three days next week to solve the mystery of his family-can't wait!
I will call Terry Winchel tomorrow to ask about the ships manifest for the wounded, etc. I pray something will turn up...
