I read most of those diaries and will say it was not for naught. I really appreciate what I learned about the ordeal they went through during the seige, in particular, their hopes for resue that never came, hoe they felt-fear, increased love for family and God, and how they were treated afterward by the enemy. I thank you for the time you have spent answering my questions and the on-going story of the 43rd. If I find anything significant, I will let you know. For now, Samuel and James' fates remain unknown.
