As the "webmaster" I know the real names of many of our first name only or by alias posters. In the case of "John" there is a valid reason he is not including his last name. May I say, I know and respect "John" and appreciate his participation.

There are many who do post anonymously or with a nickname for no apparent reason, but in John's case it is understandable.

I'm sure many understand that authors, educators, government employees and others might feel compromised or even at risk, if they are in any way connected with a "balanced" discussion of the issues related to the War Between the States.

I agree with your last posting, ending this discussion. I believe everyone has had an opportunity to state their views and position.
