I find your suggestion that I chronicle for you incidents of yankee atrocities disingenuous. As I am sure you know, such incidents were seldom,if ever, reported to the authorities (yankees/carpetbaggers). As a result, family histories must be relied upon. I suggest that you consult the Arkansas Historical Quarterly and most any other source for articles written by Southerners of that era if you really wish to discover the truth. I am not inclined to spend the time to list them for you. I have read many such articles, and seldom do they fail to mention the mistreatment that was delt them by the yankees. Granted, there were some honorable yankees, but the majority of the kansas troops were not of that ilk, in my opinion. My wife is related to a yankee general, Leander Blanden. She doesn't talk about it much.
