Your refusal to identify yourself was only a sidebar to my posting that I thought was worthy of consideration in light of your comparison of the Kansas criminals with the slave holding citizens of Jefferson County. I have the benifit of family reminiscence of atrocities commited by Jayhawkers against my ancestors {women and children}. I have also read about many other incidents of molestations, assaults, robbery and the burning of homes committed by the yankees. Most recently I attended a presentation by Ellen Lewis. She identifed specific incidents in northwest Arkansas where Kansas troops burned the feet of women in an effort to discover the hiding places of property and murdered old men and young boys for no apparent reason. I have yet to find any evidence that any slave holding citizens of Jefferson County commited such acts. With regard to your suggestion of bills of indictment.
