I do not have any specific information about your particular part of the overall effort. I do know that some pretty unusual weapons turned up in the Trans-Mississippi department because of this effort such as at least 2 and maybe 6 Elsworth breech loading cannons captured by Stonewall Jackson from the federal arsenal at Harper's Ferry in September, 1862.

These cannons may have been some of the shipment that you are talking about due to the lateness of the date of that shipment. They were use in fortifications in Louisiana according to the O.R.'s. By late October 1862 it was getting pretty tough to get anything like a large shipment of arms across the Mississippi River even at Vicksburg as demonstrated by the "Fairplay" incident.
