Yes Linda the people of the South as a whole paid a very dear price for their belief that the States should not be the servants or slave of the National Government. THAT was the real CAUSE of that War. And we see today that they were right way back then.

The problem is that most people today have believed the lies of history told by the victors to justify their naked aggression and abuse of national power. It is with pride that I hold in reverence the Confederate States of America and its symbols, unlike the recent United Daughters of the Confederacy, who have declared the Confederate Battle Flag as a "political symbol" and therefore not something to be displayed or honored for fear of losing their scraps from the federal dinner table of their precious 501 C3 tax status.

I know that you are a strongly patriotic southern lady Ms Linda. I am not sure whether you are a member of the UDC or not. But where is the UDC's memberships voice? Yes the Confederate Battle Flag IS a "Political Symbol", But it is NOT a Political Position symbol. It does not repersent any political party. Neither the Democrats, nor Republicans, nor Libertarians, nor Green Party, not even the T.E.A. Party all of whom ARE politically active organizations.

How does giving in to that kind of terrorism give any honor to the trials of southern people, who endured and sacrificed all that they did in that cause that they believed to be just? Especially when recent history has proven them to be correct. That there were bigger issues and greater dynamics involved than the mear single issue of ownership of another person. And yet we, who claim to be their decendants, will run from the present day fight when our ancestors suffered all, and endured all and died still clinging to their honor and their belief of right and wrong. They did not lose that War. WE Have.

OH Southlanders, where is thy Courage!

On this day of reflection. On this Easter morning, a morning that repersents the New Birth, Let us all, who claim a southern heritage, renew ourselves to the fight to preserve that honor.
