That is the problem. If they were to tell the truth can you see what that would cause to their justification of history. It could in fact destroy the "House of Cards" that has been built around this fable we teach as "history" in our schools. It is all about perspective of who was right and who was wrong in that conflict. If you tell the truth, if you teach the Constitution and the rule of law instead of the emotions of "freeing the poor slaves" their "house of cards" falls apart.
