Dr Dacus' commentary is another reason that I Champion the southern cause. The southern story has not, to this day, been fully told or appreciated.

The one factor that always seems to be forgotten is that in that war both sides were AMERICANS. The Southern Soldier was the greatest fighting man the world has ever seen. No soldier in history started with as little resources, built a nation and a government (Not even the 13 colonies did that) and fought against such overwhelming odds against a foe who was so well equiped for as long as they did.
