Paul, the books and records of the late 1800s and early 1900s are fascinating to me. They tell a much different story than the modern books. In the 60 years after Lincoln's death, there were approximately 2500 books written about him. You can count the ones worth reading on one hand, in my opinion. Those were the books written by the people who knew him or took the time to research. The others just romanticized.
