Maloney... you have added more details to our Nathan's history. If the exchange was 24 Sep 1862 and Nathan died in Sept of 1862, he must have died upon his return to Hickman Co. Not sure if Nathan was in Godwin's Co. too. Was that on John's military service record? I have sent off for Nathan's... all we have is his prison release record. If you know of any sources on Voorhie's 48th that would help me, please share. Your Tucker really saw some action! I could venture that my Nathan died of smallpox, We have no widow's pension records on him. Not sure why. She did remarry in 1865. Would that be why?
