SIKESTON — Eva Lee Laminack, 104, formerly of Morehouse, died May 3, 2008, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born July 9, 1903, in Ain, Ark., to the late Ben H. and Ursula Davis Carr, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morehouse and had been a Sunday School teacher for 54 years. She was also a Girls Auxiliary leader and a matron of the Eastern Star.
On Dec. 26, 1926, in Ain, she married Fred Laminack who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1992.
Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two son, Fred T. Laminack of Lafayette, La., and Edwin Vonkahn of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Ural Coppage of Sikeston; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Randy Conn will officiate and will be assisted by Dolan Rogers and Jack Bishop.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Dial, Allen Brown, Jim Glover, Garland Hughes, Mike Tackett and Danny Carmack.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Bohannon, Arles McIntyre, Eddie Stinnett and Allen Lutes.
