I would like to ask the experts what the difference is between Staunton Depot and Richmond Depot. This flag looks like a classic RD flag to me. The only thing that was curious was the fact that Richard Kidder Meade who supposedly had a connection to this flag died in 1862. That would be way early for this flag either Staunton or Richmond. He was an engineer with the ANV. The flags stars were embroidered with fine wool around the edges which seems unusual. So are there any examples of Staunton Depot flags in the MOC that are available for reference?
