He knows flags very well having dealt with them for almost 30 years as a dealer. Here's his details of the flag:

blue bunting was 4", cotton tape was .5", making cross 5" wide.
The central red panel was 12" wide, widest red bunting was about 16"(I think, forgot to write it down)
hoist had 3 sewn eyelets and was about 1.75" wide.
top and fly edges were wool flannel about 1.75" wide and bottom(per photo in catalog) was 1.5" wide
flag was mostly machine sewn but hand stiches were mostly linen thread
bunting had weave count of about 36/inch, warp was tighter..>>>>

He definitely knows the difference between wool bunting and wool flannel.
