I mean anyone who demeans another for the defense of their heritage.
Blue Coat regiments down South? In a round a bout way, yes.
The Blue Coat version is that in the History textbooks down here.
The symbols of our heritage are under attack daily. If another version other than the Blue Coat one been made more public, it may be a little different.
WE are still blamed for the suffering of an entire race. Seems to be an infomation lapse into the slavery picture but they expect us to apologize. Don't think so.
Had there been a bit less interference in daily life after the war by the Government men, the resentment may not have lingered so long.
The majority of the business and industry that grew in the South after the war was that owned by carpetbaggers.
The 'in your face' preference for Blacks over Whites could very well have influenced the ugly direction the (can't mention the name of that group but you know who I mean) went in.
Most of us can admit that there were less than perfect ideas in the South at the time of the war. We also can see there were people who were less than perfect. The one thing we cannot see it why it is so important for an outsider (one who is not from the South)to demean our attempt to learn of our family activity during that time. It does well play a part in how we came to be where we are now.
