Heeeey Penny Lee,
How are you? (I sent you a email, hope you got it)
A very true post Penny, I remember when I was in school I never thought we had slavery here in Missouri, I thought it was way down south. Seems our teachers only touched on the civil war era, no real discussion about (like there it is in the book, now lets move on). Surprise surprise when I got older, and heard the old timers talking about slaves being buried in our family cemetery, I was like,"SAY WHAT, SLAVES IN OUR FAMILY CEMETERY" how could that be? yup they were buried in the back part, no stones, but I must say my family had no slaves. It was a pioneer cemetery and lots of other people buried there also. Maby that's what got me to thinking about what really happened here in Missouri, that and I lost a gggrandfather in the war.
Seems here in Missouri people still have deep fellings about the war.
oh! and I cant even venture a guess what George feels on his leg. lol I know here in mo. we haven't felt rain in a long time.
