Sorry, if I missed a hidden meaning to the message. Not being privy to your earlier discussions with GP and MC, I did not pick up on a subtle message.
I don't quite understand this sentence, "I do however feel it a mistake to impute motives to others because they are from another section of the country or read between the lines." Do you feel like I "imputed" motives to your posting because you are from a different part of the country?
I must say, because of some of you earlier statements regarding your upbringing, I would assume you would have liberal views of America's race and urban culture problems. I am, honestly, surprised that you do not.
I am aware of the attack you referred to in East Tennessee. This incident and another vicious attack, by two Gay men on a little boy in Arkansas were not properly covered by the mainstream media. The only way I knew about the incidents was from Fox News and the internet.
Have you read Kenneth Noe's selection of essays on the Civil War in Appalachia? I'm thinking about getting a copy.
