Yes, Chase, I think as Northerners we have to respect and honor the blood and sacrifice of the noble veterans of the State of Pennsylvania.
I don't think we can scoff at the capture of this Pennsylvania regimental flag any more than we can can dump on the capture of flags of Southern Confederate regiments, the fortunes of war being what they were.
Having said that, I will let sheer partisanship hold sway and opine that never was a finer sight seen than the dozens upon dozens of Union regiments parading down the avenue of the nation's capitol after the big one was finally won.
Can you even imagine the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment that those men must have felt after all those years of "getting beat" like Greene said during the Revolution? Surely God was on their side.
