Mike, I must admit - had I been standing on the corner of 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue at 10:40 AM on the morning of September 30th 1915 when the remnants of the Grand Army of the Republic turned the corner to pass by the Presidential viewing stand, for what everyone understood would be the last time, I would not be able to hold back the tears, nor could I cloak my envy and my jealousy that that same last parade were not taking place in Richmond.
