Home guard activities are poorly documented, but as best I can tell, juries were not selected and attorneys were not summoned to defend anyone believed to be an outlaw. In some cases even soldiers on leave from the army may have been arrested and hung.
Let me see if I understand -- you're offended because I provided an unvarnished explanation of what Home Guards did in many cases. Let's not let on that somebody's ancestor might have been involved in this kind of thing -- let's not tell that story.
