This show is on the History Channel at 8 pm CST tonight. So far, the series has been inconsistent in regards to accurate history and good story telling. Last week's revisionism about slavery in the South looked like something Gustav Hasford would have written with sarcasm. My overall rating for the shows so far is B...it was an "A" prior to that one. Here is the premise for tonight's show.
The Civil War rages. The minie ball is the great equalizer on the battlefield. The formidable Confederate army cannot match the Union's mastery of technology; railroads, supply lines and the telegram become new weapons in a modern war. With Sherman's March, the South is definitively crushed.
