.. Based upon the Qm invoices I have gleened in respects to Staunton I have not yet found any document/invoice that gives evidence of Richmond Depot flags being sent to the Staunton Depot. Nothing showed to have been requested... nothing shown to have been sent... nor recieved. Lots of other gear... but no flags mentioned...

In my opinion and observation the labeled Staunton Depot flags differ slightly in pattern from those collectively known to have been made and issued out of Richmond. Hense in my personal opinion there is possibly something to it. Im focusing on Staunton Depot to try to find out what flags might have come through it, where or who they might have come from, if different, if any. And/or if Wharton and the other valley units might have obtained their flags from yet another previously undiscovered unknown sourse. Im not getting hung up nor dwell on the textile definition debates or what someone initially might have thought it to be. That to me doesnt really give us any confirmation or further explaination of the origin of these flags which is what we are actually after...or at least I am... The original label applied was based on a theory, taking that as it is at face value till proven otherwise.... and continue on the research trail to find any further evidence thereof regarding these flags.
