While some people mean well, they often send researchers off on wild goose chases. To those of us who know better, it is our job to try and save you a few steps. First, the Louisiana State Archives does not have any photographs of the Cazadoes Espanoles. I say this with confidence as I worked there for many years and continue to keep up with additions to the collections via personal research and former co-workers. Secondly, the Archives is mainly a repository for documents, not photographs. Very few exist in the collection compared to the number of official documents or private ones. In case anyone suggests Tulane University in New Orleans as a likely repository of said photograph, I have perused the index of their collections that I have a hard copy from, which is not available online, and it is not a part of that. Additionally, no photograph of them exists at the Confederate Memorial Hall in New Orleans nor the National Guard's Archives at Jackson Barracks.

If I ever run across a photograph of the unit, I will certainly notify you, as I am certain anyone associated with this board will as well.
