I found a clue that might give you a little bit more information on your relative. In the notes on page 114 of "Foreigners in the Confederacy"by Ella Lonn, it states, "In the Confederate Archives, United States War Department, may be found the list of members of the Cazadores espnoles, consisting of 10 companies and also Company A of Lake Borgne. Iis recorded as 5th Regiment of the European Brigade, giving names and residences. Some records were kept in Spanish." Since they all lived in or near New Orleans, I think the residences it mentioned must be street addresses, which I have seen listed for some members of other militia units.

I suspect tha the records Miss Lonn refers to (the book was published in 1940) are in the National Archives in Washington, DC. I took the liberty of searching the National Archives site myself and found information on them on Microfilm Rolls 23 & 26 on this document. www.archives.gov/research/microfilm/m861.pdf n addition, I glanced at the records the Archives had listed under "Confederate Archives, United States War Department" and found the following: 109.9.5 - Records of local commands
Textual Records: Records, principally letters sent and received and orders, of officers serving at fixed installations, or of troops raised exclusively for service within a single state, 1861-65. I am pretty sure this is the collection Miss Lonn reffered to in her publication.
