Chase, I realize Europe is another part of the world but what happens in their economy does affect us. I believe it not only affected the north but the south as well. Even today Wall St. keeps a close eye on the Euro-dollar, the Japanese Yen, Russin wheat crops and Mid-East Oil production, just to name a few things. I do believe crop failure in India in 1861-1865 would have driven England into seriously considering aiding the Confederacy. After all most countries morals are greatly tied to the economics. Anyway, I still think David had a valid point buit I certainly respect your opinion also.
