George do you suggest we start a revolution every time the government does something or we think it will do something we don't agree with? How about the abortion law? Seems like the murder of millions of people is even worse than slavery to me. The Jeffersonian idea of a small farmer democracy is just not feasible today. As for the Confederacy helping it's members, men like Joe Brown, Zeb Vance and Toombs considered Davis as wanting too much control over the other states. So then, what happens George? One State splits from the Confederacy or the Union, and then a county or city decides it can do self-government by itself. Don't think it would work in this day of an Islamic threat, do you?
