Well I think Stephen established the right of secession so
1. Te the Southern states did not try and alter the Constitution, they drew up their own which I believe was aalmost a mirrow of the US constitution.
2. The Southern states did niot make any agressive move toward the United States.Had the north left them alone ssecession good or bad whould have only affected the states who withdrew.
3.It was the Southern states rights right to secede when they wanted. Lincoln's election was the straw that broke the camels back.
4. The Southern states had every right to do what they thought best for their people, a right we no longer have. Today we are seeing the minority reject the majority decision aren't we, ----- say 12 million illigals.
