I change nothing, I said "No Confederate was ever prosecuted for treason" and you failed to provide any evidence that they had. When I said "prosecuted" that means "brought to trial". You came back with a statement referring to the 14th amendment, I fail to see the connection.

It boils down to this...if the yankees had thought they could have convicted Confederates of treason dozens would have been tried...in-the-otherhand if the South had won the war they would have been justified in prosecuting dozens of Federals (including Lincoln) and executing them for was crimes.
