You originally asked why no one was charged with treason. I showed that Jefferson Davis was indeed CHARGED or indicted for treason. As my sources and George's website showed, the case fell through for various political and technical reasons...NOT because secession was deemed justified.

Do you now change the question because you realize your earlier post was wrong?

As I said earlier, Chief Justice Chase argued against prosecuting Davis on account that he was ALREADY being punished for treason by the 14th Amendment.

Now, if you dispute any of this, please provide evidence. Otherwise, your earlier assessment cannot stand.
