"they could probably get by without you"
I don't know about that Chase. Maybe I could have brought some Cajun or Cracker culture with me and enriched their lives to a great extent LOL!
Wanna hear a secret? The older posters on the board know this already but I'll fill you in just to provide a giggle. My self and Virgil Roberts (A poster here) are both descended from a Huguenot preacher named Rev. Pierre Robert. A welshman by blood whose father immigrated to France where the "S" was dropped of his surname. When he moved to America in 1675 two of his three sons put the "S' back on the family name, one son did not. He had a 2nd great-grandson named Henry Martin Robert. During the WBTS this Henry Martin Robert served in Washington City as an engineer. I would bet this put him close to Lincoln. If you are not familiar with him do a Google search using his name. You may be surprised to learn he wrote "Robert's Rules of Order".
P.S. ___ I haven't confirmed this yet but I have good reason to believe my wife is related to Gen. John Rawlins (Grant's staff). Ain't that a kick in the head ;-)
