In Vietnam, only something like 10 percent of the men who served there actually served in combat, up close and personal. But everyone who served in uniform deserves an equal share of the thanks of the nation.
Ditto about boot camp -- it made me a man. I wouldn't go through that again for a million dollars, but I wouldn't take a million dollars for the experience.
