They were mustered in on May 6, 1862 at LaGrange, Georgia. By the end of the month they were at Camp Golgotha near Griffin, Ga. They were still at this location on June 30, 1862. On July 2, 1862 they were stationed at Camp Randolph, Calhoun, Ga and still there on September 31, 1862.
