As I tell everyone, I've amassed tons of information over the years after many trips to the National Archives and after acquiring lots of materials from special collects at repositories all over the country. In addition, there has been a tremendous amount of knowledge shared by so many wonderful contributors on this board. I am definitely the gainer for their generosity.
This has been a labor of love for my own fulfillment and never intended for publication. Hence, I have used home made abbreviations and editing---mostly to reduce the amount of transcribing and typing.
I've been struggling with how to enter this material from my personal tables and excel charts, so I will start with just a few items and just hope they are semi readable contrary to my hand written notes.

4/24 Special Orders TM Dist Memphis-the Bgde noted above as Roane's, under command of Lt-Col Danley, 3rd Cav, was ordered to march to Corinth with 5 days' cooked rations.
On his departure, Gen Van Dorn, having tendered to Gen Roane a Bgde in the army of the West, which the latter declined, assigned him to command of the forces for the defense of Ark, with instructions to organize & put in the field all troops raised under the conscript law, & all Cavalry from Tex & north La who might come into the State to report to Van Dorn.
Any Infantry troops that might be in the State destined for the army of the West were to be forwarded as rapidly as possible.
