I will continue to believe that war was not inevitable nor necessary. The path to war was chaotic and full of "what ifs" and certain people were pushing for it and causing events to occur. War was a choice made by a handful of men. It was not a simultanious clash of two opposing forces but a gradual build up of political emmotionism without enough moderate men in power who could bring the age old practice of negotiation to bare. Up until the first shot the war could have been avoided if peoples lives were put ahead of ambition.
