Re: Pressing Issues for the Alabama Legislature
I did alot of reenacting myself but with horses.I own alot of gear made by Doug Kidd,if you are a reenactor you must know his name.I was in the famous 125th Gettysburg reenactment,i was a extra in GLORY, GETTSBURG.I have done numerous renacments over the years and believe it or not was invited to champion hills renactment in the early 90`s. I was envited by local SCV Camps to talk about the CALVARY in the War. I also make HANDMADE HANDSTICHED ANV 2 nd and 3rd Bunting Battleflags with PERIOD WOOL. NO IMITATIONS!!!My 3 great grandfather was Col. promoted to Brig.General GEORGE T WARD.He led the first group of men out of FLA (2ndFLA VOL.)to fight in Virg.Killed battle of WILLIAMSBURG.We still have his battleflag staff in our posession sent back to the family by General Jubal Early who knew my 3 great grandfather.I had another relative who was a Col. and fought with Johnston around Atlanta.I had another 2 great grandfather fight at the age of 16 at the battle of natural bridge-Tallahasse Fla.He was a courier on the generals staff. ETC.To the point if you are from the south with these relatives why dont you see it as greed.Have you ever heard of reading between the lines.Slavery was the HOLY ISSUE to STEAL LAND!!!Enough said on the issue.
