There have been mentions in other states of wanting less Federal control or interest in how they ran their departments. Before Oklahoma, it was just grumbles, now it's picking up speed. There is a frustration in the air, from the people, that compares with that in the 1800's. They see what their area needs but fall victim to the 'power' in Washington. That 'power' has its own agenda and it is not the Will of the People. We all know how it manipulates things. Imagine how it could be done before Sunshine Laws and other things.
In the 1800's the issue was taxes and then slavery in westward expansion. Today, the issue is taxes and immigration.
