Yeah, my father was born in 1923 and he grew up in California. He was taught the causes of the WBTS were economic concerns and the issue of State Rights. I cannot imagine that is being taught in any public schools nowadays in California. The 1960's and the Civil Rights Movement definitely had an impact on WBTS history in public schools. Like I mentioned before, my father moved to Texas shortly after WWII and found that schools and banks were shut down for the observance of Confederate Heroes Day. That was a lifetime ago.
