This is life 100 years after the Civil War. The women have come a very long way at this point and still keep gaining ground. The relationship with other races has changed also. I'd forgotten the elevator operators and the rest room attendants. After seeing some of the rest rooms in public places, that might be something they need to bring back. With life and all of the things that have been invented and are affordable for most homes we've almost lost the most important gift we have always had, family. Now everyone is in their own little world. That's a shame. That's how we, as children, learned. We listened to what the 'grown ups'were talking about. Not because we were interested, it was just rude to interrupt or talk when they were talking.
Even they dynamics of the family has evolved from Dad the Boss and Mom the Enforcer to whoever is there takes care of it. I know I never cleaned in heels and pearls and neither did my Mom. Donna Reed was a master at that.
I see there are more clips. Going to watch them. It is like a blast from the past.
