Bragg had a very prickly and prideful disposition, from all I have read. His talents aside, would field commanders have been disposed to follow his advice? Forrest in particular said he would never serve under Bragg again. If I remember correctly, Forrest even threatened to kill Bragg; not an idle threat, given Forrest's history. Stan
