Alan, I might have posted it wrong, but the name on the headstone that I am researching is William Y. Mooty. And you are probably right, that they are one in the same. Especially since Mooty is an uncommon name. But I am going to continue the search for William Y for now, the more I can find on him and Mary the more we will probably find that they are one in the same. I would appreciate any information you can add.
